About Essex Whites
Essex Whites attend the majority of Leeds United matches both home and away as well as official events held by the football club at Elland Road. We have a large number of home season ticket holders who travel with us on a regular basis as well as a smaller group of home and away season ticket holders.
We hosted our first “Essex Leeds on the Road” (LOR) in Marks Tey, Colchester in April 2009 where over 200 fans attended. It was widely reported as one of the best LOR events ever attended by the party from Leeds United including Simon Grayson, Paul Grayson and Peter Lorimer.
We attend the End of Season Player of the Year Awards held annually in the Centenary Pavilion at Elland Road.
36 Essex Whites attended the Player of the Year Awards on 28th April 2012 when Brendan Ormsby and John McClelland were our table guests. At this event our current Chairman Paul Downer’s family were presented the first “fans of the year” members award by Peter Lorimer on behalf of the club.
We attend pre season tours each year and have been to several countries including Austria, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Rep of Ireland, Scotland, Norway and of course games in England.
