The Essex Whites were saddened by the death of our honorary president Peter Lorimer. Peter had been a great friend and supporter of the Essex Whites since our formation in 2006. A real club legend who was Leeds United through and through. We will always be grateful for his tremendous support and friendship, he will be sadly missed by all the Leeds United family worldwide. RIP Peter and thank-you for the memories.
Peter was a Leeds legend who made his debut as a 15 year old in September 1962. He had many nicknames associated with his powerful shooting such as “Hotshot” and “Thunderboots” and “Ninety miles an hour”.
Peter was the club’s leading goal scorer with 238 goals in 676 games. He was also capped 21 times by Scotland. He retired from playing football just before his 40th birthday.
